The first time I saw this quote it stopped me in my tracks.  OMG, this is me. How funny and actually kind of sad. During my life as a blogger and online contributor for various publications my computer was virtually attached to my hip and yes, I made a few zillion acquaintances online, a number who became friends, a few morphing into real life friends that I have actually spent time with, in person. Imagine that.

And referring back to the previous post, the truth of this quote has naturally had a significant impact on my experience in suburbia. I have lived in it but not among the people physically around me in a meaningful way.
